Does having white bulbs on the end of hair have significance in determining hair loss?

John S.

The answer is yes! the bulb that you see is the determining factor that the hair is falling out, not, breaking off. The distinction between normal hair loss which occurs once or twice a year is the amount. I know it sounds silly but try counting the individual hairs that you are loosing. To do this plug your sink, wash your hair %26amp; remove the hairs left in the sink, comb through your hair %26amp; remove any hairs from comb or brush, assuming you started with a clean brush. If the number is greater than 50 Hair loss is occuring. It is normal to loose 25 to 50 hairs a day. Oh, %26amp; by the way do not make a habit out of brusing wet hair it streatches the hair and causes breakage and can pull out excessive amounts, if hair is long. When hair is really falling out (hair loss) you will know it because your hair will begin to be thinner with more of your scalp showing than before. Since you are a Guy, genetics play a big part in hair loss, Fact, Men loose their hair %26amp; so do some women, if your Father %26amp; Grandfather lost their hair you could be next, or not. It can come from either parent.

no, not at all.

having those little white things at the end of your hair means that the ends aer dead/somewhat split.

it can happen from strightening hair/curling hair too often.

If you are talking about where it came out from your head then that would be the root. Doesn't have anything to do with hair loss other than the fact that if you are seeing the root you obviously lost it.

No, it just means it was just time for the hair to fall out after it completed it's growth cycle.
