I use to clean my puppy's eyes offen,sometimes only with water,or a special camical for dogs,nothing is work.The best if i cut the hair around his eyes,but it's not perfect 2.

The 1st step is to wipe the eyes each morning w/a clean warm white washcloth (some do it 2xday). I think that really helps alot as I can see the red stain on the cloth. Also, keeping the corner of the eyes trimmed. Other natural ways are to use bottle/filtered water %26amp;/or add a drop of organic vinegar to the water dish.
There are several products on the market, both topical wipes/cleaners, as well as powders you mix w/the food. I've read mixed reviews on these products; however, I have personally witnessed my friend's bichon go from the worse case of the eye stain from her eyes to her chin to perfectly clean with Angel Glow. Stasha doesn't look like the same dog. There's another product, I believe it's Angel Eyes that is similar with less ingredients that our local dog shop now recommends. If you do a search on either of these products, you can find out more info. Petedge.com carries one of them at a good price since the downside is they are EXPENSIVE! I'd like to try the mineral oil suggested earlier.

I used to raiise tea cup poodles. I had many very white ones. I kept the area around the eyes from going orange by always putting mineral oil into their eyes after bathing. It really works!

Try switching to bottled spring water instead of tap water. That helps cuts down on tearing a lot.
