her dad is mixed too so she isnt really dark and her hair is tight ringletts but dry, her hair is really thin tho, is there any black product u reccomend to help her hair out?
My 2yr old is mixed black/white what do you reccomend to use in her hair to make it grow more thick?
You can't really make hair grow thick. As she gets older, her hair will thicken up on its own.
If her hair is dry, my first recommendation is to stop washing it with shampoo. The ingredients in shampoo are drying (especially babt shampoo.). You can rinse her hair daily or even wash it with conditioner only. Shampooing should be done once a week. If she can go two weeks without shampoo, that would be better. After two weeks, you will notice a difference.
As far as hair products, there are tons of products that you can use depending on what style you are trying to achieve. But these are the essentials:
Aloe Vera gel for ponytails and defining curls.
Moisturizer or hair lotion (preferably one without mineral oil in it) for braids, twists or cornrows.
Conditioner
Leave-in conditioner (for detangling)
Wide Tooth Comb (for detangling)
Boar Bristle brush (nylon bristles can rip hair)
Elastic ponytails holders (rubber bands are horrible for the hair.)
Go to the bookstore this weekend and read some books about African American hair. You don't have to buy them. Just skim through them and jot down some notes.
Hope this helps/.

Since she is so young, I would go to the beauty supply and ask the salesperson. There are many good thickening shampoos available at Walmart, Walgreens, CVS and Pantene makes an excellent one.

Lavender oil has been shown to increase hair growth so massage the oil once a week and soak for 30 minutes before washing. Try http://solutionsforhairgrowth.blogspot.c... for more details.
