deep thinker?been to numerous surgeries?because i do think a lot that sometimes i have trouble sleeping and ive been operated 9 times!

There are mainly two reasons:

* Hereditary - Because your genes are that way. If your dad had white hair earlier in life and his dad likewise, then so will you!

* Stress / Anxiety / Unhappiness - This turns off melanin from hair and thus your hair will not have color. If you examine the hair, they will be shiny white! If they are a dull white, you may lack some other proteins or may have some kind of health problem (not too serious I believe).

Eg. Too many 'targets' or 'goals' at work, loss of a loved one, etc.

Besides these,

* Some kind of illness can also trigger this

* Some special medications you may be taking.

Fortunately, we can use the colors to get that look...and its 'in' today!!

Because you are probably under stress or like Taylor Hicks, (god I hate him...) just losing hair and growing white for some reason. l think in your case, the surgeries are giving u stress and pressure causing you to lose your hair and grow white hair (grow a different color).

I was born with white hair...by the time i turned 7 it was dark brown...at about 14 or 15 I started getting white hairs again. Now I'm 32 and about 20% to 25% of my hair is white. (I dye it now though) I'm a pretty deep thinking, but i think its partially genetics. My dad had a full head of white hair at 15 years old because he got diptheria when he was a boy and i guess it turned his head white. Before that he had red hair.

stress, damage to the hair follicle (the area where your hair is for those who don't exactly get what the word means). which can be cased by getting I.V.s in the head and/or surgery (also in the head). your genetics also play a factor like other above me has said. or if your hair follicle runs out of melanin (hair pigment).

sometimes its just in the genes. I got my first white hair at the age of 18 and I'm 47 now( remember Rip Van Winkle I'm him w/out the beard)
